The Friends of Ellel is a group of parents and teachers who work together to arrange events to raise funds for the school to pay for additional facilities and opportunities for all the children in school.

The friends of Ellel appreciates all help that is so generously given in running and supporting these events.

We are always looking for new members and if you are able to come and help us please do so.

We welcome new ideas for events and if you would like to be included with arrangements for how money is raised and spent, please do join us.

YELLOW MOON CATALOGUES

These have been distributed to the children last Friday, please take time to have a look through the catalogue. The catalogue helps us to raise money and this year’s project will be to Improve play facilities and equipment for the children outside.

QUIZ NIGHT

To be held in school on 13^th November, 6.30 - 8.30. Free entry. A great night out for all the family, questions for the young and the old. Further details nearer the time.

DIVERSITY WORK SHOPS

The Friends of Ellel have funded for Carys Matthews to come into school and deliver two days of work shops with all the children in their classes. This is to be held on 16^th and 17^th November.

Newsletter - November 2009

Film Show -

Many thanks to all who supported our first successful Film Night. We are planning to hold another on 12^th February.

Quiz Night -

Our next event will be a quiz night. This is to be held in school on Friday 13^th November at 6.30p.m. - 8.30p.m. Families can join together to create teams to compete in our Quiz Master - Mr Hulme’s questions. Questions are aimed at all age groups.

The night is aimed at being a social event and there is no charge to enter. Refreshments will be available on the night. Please come along and join in with the fun.

Christmas Fair -

Due to building works etc it has been decided to reduce the scale of the Fair this year. We are planning to hold a Christmas Coffee afternoon on Wednesday 16^th December between 2.00p.m. and 3.30p.m. The children will be selling their crafts that they have made in class, along with a cake stall, sale of calendars etc. Refreshments will be available. Entertainment on offer will be in the form of the school choir and musical instruments being played by various children. Donations of cakes and offers of help would be very much appreciated.

Christmas Disco -

This popular event will be held on Friday 11^th December in school between 6.30 - 8.30. Entry fee will be £2 per person.

Christmas Puddings -

Don’t forget to place your order for your Christmas Puddings. Orders for the Puddings from the Ultimate Pudding Company need to be placed by Monday 10^th November.
