Class 1

Welcome to the Year One class at Ellel St. John's Primary School (Class 1).

The class currently consists of 29 children and is taught by Mrs Tyson. For half a day each week we are taught by Mrs Blundell. We have two part time teaching assistants - Mrs Edmondson and Mrs Hay. We also benefit from some regular parental support.

Take a look at just some of the things we do in Class 1.

We learn how to do lots of things on the computer. We also use the computer to support all areas of the curriculum.

We are learning how to write sentences in our new writing books.

We also draw pictures to match.

We enjoy our art work. We are learning about facial features and how to draw faces.

Although we like the fresh air and out door play, we have some great toys and activities for wet playtimes!

We like quiet reading times. We get to read on our own or with our friends, and the class puppets!
